I have been reading everyone’s bios on the rockstar bio thread. I want to add mine, but have not had the time to write one. I will get to that as soon as possible. However in the meantime, here is a short one from me so you can know a little about me as well.
I am a 38 year old mother of five children. My oldest is a senior at Kentwood High this year and the second oldest ( Junior) is in Running start at Green River Community College. The middle child is a chearleader at Mattson middle school in 7th grade and I also have two in elementary a fourth grader who is ten and my youngest is in Kindergarten. I have been married 18 years to Tom Coleman and we also, have 7 animals together in addition to the children. Mine is a nine month old Havanese puppy named Winston.
I am currently in a business math class to finish up an professional/ technical AA in Accounting degree. Including this class, I have five classes to go for this degree. I am also working on a Nutritional certificate from the global college of natural medicine. And, have to turn in all my work for that by the end of Feb. I have about 80% of this degree done. So, as the deadline approaches I need to work faster.
When I am not going crazy with my 5 kids, 7 animals, and two degrees of homework, or dealing with all the fun stuff of house repairs, cleaning etc. My biggest hobby is dancing. My favorite is West Coast Swing, but my husband and myself for most of this next trimester are switching to ballroom and have enrolled in a Waltz series. While, we have only been dancing about 18 months, we did get good enough at East Coast Swing to actually teach a beginner course of it last Summer.
My biggest challenge of life is that being obese and partner dancing are not compatible. It is really hard to do the twirls and turns, etc. And, we cannot participate in any of the dips and lifts in swing dancing because my wieght is much heavier than my husband’s.
I am really ready now to do the steps that are needed to become a normal weight person, and totally enjoy life in that mode. While my ticker does not show much weight loss, that is because of the day I joined I had already lost quite a bit. My highest weight was 248, which is actually much a more weight loss. With each pound gone I have enjoyed a better quality of life.
I have really enjoyed buddy slim and the motivation and love that the rockstars have given me. I know with your help, we can all reach our goals and become healthy people again. Arin
